The Women of Chateau of Lafayette (2021) by Stephanie Dray
The previous books by Dray led me to this book. She took three time periods and wove them into a historical fiction story about Lafayette and his legacy. But, unfortunately, t did not work for me.
Kallocain (1940) by Karin Boye - translated by David MdDuff
Karin Boye is a famous Swedish poet and author. Even though this book is translated, the translator does wonderful work in keeping the poetic language. The book is excellent and fits perfectly with my GBP reading this quarter on the question: what is a society? The book is dystopian fiction and is similar to Brave New World by Huxley or 1984 by Orwell.
